There was an excellent start to the international break for Sevilla FC players on Wednesday with prominent performances in the hammering by Morocco in Rabat against Guinea-Bissau in 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifying. With Bono a starter and Munir playing 23 minutes, the Moroccan side eased passed Guinea-Bissau winning 5-0. Indeed, it was Munir who rounded off the scoring nine minutes from time culminating in a spectacular run after a pass from Boufal.
In this way, Morocco lead their group with six points, in which only the winner will get a place at the World Cup, despite having played a game less. They are then followed by Guinea-Bissau on four points. Morocco still have to face two game in this international break in their own country but as the 'away' side. First, they play against Guinea-Bissau again and afterwards on Tuesday against Guinea, in a game which had to be postponed because of the coup d’état in Conakry last September and which will be played in Morocco.
