THREE WINS AND SIX DRAWS FOR THE BEST RUN AWAY FROM HOME IN THE HISTORY OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Last night Sevilla FC achieved another draw in the group stage of the Champions League, the third in three games played, which leaves it second in the group with three points. The draw against LOSC Lille leaves a bittersweet tast in the mouth, because in the first half there were several opportunities to score. Despite this, the chance of qualifying for the last sixteen remain intact and the result led to an important piece of information in the Sevilla statistics away from the Sánchez-Pizjuán in the biggest continental competition. 

Sevilla FC with the draw against the French side, managed to establish a new historical mark, the best run away from home in the club's history. The team are unbeaten in their last nine Champions League matches as a visiting side in the Champions League, with three victories and six draws. Likewise two thirds belong to the Julen Lopetegui era with six games, two of them wins and four draws. The three remaining games are from the 17/18 season where they drew against Maribor and Bayern Munich and won at Old Trafford against Manchester United in a run to the quarter-finals of the tournament. 

Sevilla FC will now have two back-to-back games at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, against Lille and Wolfsburg, with the visit to Salzburg on the last matchday in the group stage, where keeping this statistic intact could prove crucial to the red and whites in the Champions League this season.
