JOSÉ CASTRO HAS PRESIDED OVER 300 LEAGUE GAMES

Sevilla FC President José Castro presided over his 300th La Liga game on Saturday against CA Osasuna. It could not have gone any better as the team beat Osasuna to maintain their 100% record at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán against the best away side in the league, moving up to 24 points.

José Castro's stats as President are very positive with 154 wins, over 50%, 67 draws and 79 defeats. The team are as such unbeaten in 74% of matches since he took the presidency in the 13/14 season. In that season he oversaw 23 matches and 12 wins. In the following seasons with Unai Emery, he would see another 23 and 14 wins in the 14/15 and 15/16 seasons. Under Sampaoli, there were 21 and 17 in the following two seasons. Last year, Julen Lopetegui set the win record at 24 in a season, bettering his first year at the club.

In addition to the 300 league games, Castro has presided over 152 more in other competitions, bringing his total to 452.
