The Sevilla coach valued the point and praised the Sevilla fans in attendance in the Nervión downpour

Julen Lopetegui spoke to club media after the draw against Deportivo Alavés. The coach analysed what happened this afternoon in Nervión. "It's a difficult day to summarise because many things have happened, with difficult situations against us which we have had to deal with. I think that we deserved to win but in the end, we couldn't because of the finer details. We have to think about what we can control and we have to improve, such as with the corner, but what is not in our control are things that we have to tackle."

The Sevilla coach, who still doesn't know the condition of Suso, valued the effort of the fans in the stands. "The energy of the people, despite the fact that we haven't managed to make it 3-2, is always positive. The draw has been 50% due to the team and 50% because of our fans and we hope that we can continue together. We feel that if the game had lasted longer, not just with four minutes of additional time, we could have won. We are annoyed that there is less additional time in Spanish football, but the referees have the ability to stop the watch and to even out the game."

To close, he focused on the incentive of the game on Tuesday against VfL Wolfsburg. "Clearly we finished this game in good form and now we will have to recover well, analyse a bit because we have a couple of injuries and then look to see what team we are capable of fielding full of ambition and hope to overcome a good side."
