JORDÁN, RAFA MIR AND MUNIR HIGHLIGHT THE COMPETITIVENESS AFTER THE WIN AGAINST VFL WOLFSBURG

The two goal scorers on the night and Munir who started in the attack on Tuesday were happy with the win but know that the job is not finished in Europe

Joan Jordán, Rafa Mir and Munir El Haddad offered their thoughts after the important win against VfL Wolfsburg. Speaking about what happened on the fifth matchday in the UEFA Champions League it was Jordán the first goal scorer on the night who noted that "we knew that it was going to be a difficult game and we couldn't let ourselves or our fans down. It was a final and we knew that we would have to compete as if it was our last match and we are very happy with how it went. We haven't been bad in the group stage although we have had our difficult moments, but we always back ourselves. When we back ourselves and I believe a lot in the team and from now on we can't make mistakes and we have to give it everything. It has been difficult but we are happy." He also was very satisfied with his own performance but the most important game is to come. "I am very happy for the team, for Rafa who has scored the goal but also we haven't done anything yet because we are not in the last 16 which is what we want. Now we begin preparing for Sunday." 

 

 

In turn, Rafa Mir also expressed his joy as the second goal scorer on the night. "The team played well and we have been ourselves and dominated the game. I am very happy with the goal, I haven't been too fortunate in front of goal but I am relaxed and I dedicate my goal to the physios and the medical staff. It was an important game. We were superior and we are very happy." Also, he looked ahead for what is to come: "We have a very nice month ahead and we will travel to Madrid with all the hope in the world." 

To close, the Moroccan Munir El Haddadi valued the win after starting the match. "It was a difficult game but the team went out as we wanted to go out and at the end we got the result that we wanted. The key was to go out with the attitude that we went out with and to be ourselves. I felt really good and recently haven't been playing too many minutes, but we are all united on the pitch and our fans are the 12th man. Now we look ahead to the weekend and then the next game after that."
