LOPETEGUI: "OUR DESIRE TO WIN CAN BE THE KEY FACTOR"

Sevilla FC coach Julen Lopetegui appeared before the media this Tuesday evening ahead of tomorrow's Champions League match against FC Salzburg. The match will close out the group stage of the 21/22 Champions League. Julen began by stating "we are so motivated to secure our objective against a top team. We were almost out of it and now we have a chance tomorrow. We go into the match full of desire without looking at our position in the group, our desire can be the key factor. I think they have been the best team in the group and we will have to play well to beat them."

"We have to be able to look the challenge in the eyes. We must be focused enough to do what we need to do without getting carried away with the importance of the clash. We will have to attack and defend well. Every bit of our energy is going into the match."

Lopetegui also added: "They have won every game at home and it's hard to get the better of them. We will try to manage everything as best as we can, fully trusting in the players at our disposal. Two teams are coming up against each other and we know what their goal is. These matches are like melons - until you open them you don't know what you're going to get. There will be tough moments in the match with what it means to both teams."

Asked about the absence of fans tomorrow, Julen responded: "I would have liked there to be fans tomorrow. I always do. Football makes sense when we have fans there."
