ÓLIVER, MONTIEL AND KOUNDÉ DISCUSS THE WIN IN BILBAO

Óliver Torres, Gonzalo Montiel and Jules Koundé spoke to Official Media after the clash with Athletic Club. After the hard-fought 1-0 win at the San Mamés, the midfielder wanted to start with words of thanks: "First of all, thanks to the fans who came today. This victory is for those who are injured, and for the academy players who travelled with us, today we showed that we're a team, after what we've gone through. The team knew how to stay in the game and we're leaving with three important points. Today the most important thing was winning and I'm happy for all the players, the win means so much more". 

Gonzalo Montiel was also aware of how much the win meant, after a difficult week: "It's a very important win to continue in the fight, and even more so after a tough defeat. We were able to compete and we were able to come out on top. We knew that they would try to impose their style of play, but we were more comfortable in the second half and I'm happy with the victory. On a personal level I'm feeling confident, I'm always ready to help the team and I welcome that". 

To finish, Jules Koundé spoke about the team's efforts to hold on for the win in a complicated match: "It was a very hard-fought match. We scored our goal at a moment where we weren't playing well and we fought until the end, we're happy for Delaney. Matches against Athletic up here are always tough and I think we showed a lot of things during the game, even though they had chances because we unnecessarily lost the ball, but the team always has a good mentality and we're still up there. It's true that we had players missing, but this group, this team is very strong. It's time for the Copa del Rey now, that will be tough, and then we've got two very important matches against direct rivals".
