The team suffered more than they expected, even more so than they did against Córdoba in the last round, as they secured progression to the last 32 of the Copa del Rey with a penalty shootout win over CE Andratx in Mallorca. Rafa Mir broke the deadlock in the second half, but the hosts levelled soon after and neither side could find a winner. Munir could have sealed the win in normal time but hit the crossbar, before Luismi went close in extra time. During the shootout, Dmitrovic saved Andratx's opening penalty before Óscar hit the post, with Sevilla winning in sudden death thanks to Gaspar's miss.
In the first half at Sa Plana, Sevilla FC were unable to open the scoring, and, if anything, it was the hosts who had the more clear-cut chances, with Dmitrovic denying a close-range header from a corner and Palmer having an effort deflected wide. As for Sevilla, they were only able to muster up chances in the form of shots from Rafa Mir and Munir, although they did not really trouble Vicenç. Juanlu also went close after a solo run, but he was denied by the keeper. The fourth-tier side were effective, and barely allowed the visitors to cause them serious problems.
