Sevilla FC now know their next opponents in the Copa del Rey. The team have been to drawn to face Real Zaragoza at La Romereda in the Round of 32, with a winner-takes-all clash between 4th and 6th January. If there are no changes to the league schedule, the match will be played on 6th January, due to the trip to Cádiz on 3rd January.
Juan Ignacio Martínez's side, who are 13th in LaLiga Smartbank, won their last two ties against CD Mensajero and Burgos CF respectively. This will be the fifth cup tie between the two sides, with both sides progressing on two occasions. The Aragonese outfit won 4-3 in the quarter-finals in 1939/40, and in 3-2 in the semi-finals in 1993/94, while Sevilla came out on top in the fifth round in 1972/73 (3-2) and in the Round of 16 in 2012/13, with a 4-0 win at La Romareda following a goalless draw in Nervión.
