LOPETEGUI: "ELCHE HAVE PICKED UP THE MOST POINTS IN THE LEAGUE IN 2022"

"They attack and defend very well, things are set out well and they play good football," commented Lopetegui

Sevilla FC boss, Julen Lopetegui, spoke at his press conference earlier today about tomorrow's meeting with Elche CF. The Basque coach started by pointing out that "We are going to get back on track. Montiel is out and we will see if Lucas is going to be fit. Tomorrow we play at 21:00 PM and we have a bit of a window to find out. I don't think there is anything up with the rest, but we have to wait because a few niggles can set a different tone."

On tomorrow's opponents, Lopetegui said that "Elche have picked up the most points in 2022. They're on a positive run and the squad is full of talent. As a collective outfit, they're good. They have Boyé, Milla, Morente, Fidel...players that perform at a top level and bring a balance in all areas of the pitch. They do things well, play good football and are very competitive."

"Elche are a team that does a lot of things well. They attack and defend well. They are very clear in what they do. They are competing very well and playing very good football" he continued.

In closing, the Sevilla coach referred to some specific players. "Youssef has been out for a long time and his return is a good thing but he will take time to get back to his best. This adaptation needs time and I hope it will be as soon as possible. On Martial, I think that he can adapt to different roles. He can play through the middle, on the left wing or behind the striker. Getting him in the right position is important but what I think is more important is his performance and this is something he can give in every position. Delaney is one of those who could be available and we will have to decide if he can from the start or not."
