DIGITALIZATION, ACADEMY AND A PLAN FOR THE FUTURE: SEVILLA FC STARS AT THE WFS 2024

The European edition of the prestigious football industry congress was once again an opportunity for the club to show the world our strengths in several areas

Sevilla FC took part in another edition of the World Football Summit, one of the most important conferences in the football industry. The European edition was again held in the capital of Andalusia with the club showcasing itself across a number of events. 

During the two days of WFS 2024, the cub showed its commitment to women's sports, both with the presence of Sevilla FC Women's player Eva Llamas at the conference held in the Conference and Exhibition Centre of Sevilla (FIBES) as well as the visit of our Director of Women's Football, Amparo Gutiérrez with player Débora García to Polígono Sur for an event to help women in sport. The club also showed its commitment to social inclusion, with members of Sevilla FC Genuine and board member Luis Castro attending a presentation by the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Sáiz.

President José María del Nido Carrasco, the captain of the first team Jesús Navas and Juanlu Sánchez were also involved across the event. The two players were interviewed on the main stage to talk about the prestige of a youth academy like Sevilla's, under the slogan 'Sevilla FC, factory of champions.' Navas also enjoyed a tour of an exhibtion dedicated to his career. The president ended the WFS with a presentation based on the idea of rebellion and his new projects for the future of the club. 

Technlogical innovation and internationalisation 

There was also space to showcase one of the great strengths of Sevilla FC today, leadership in technological innovation, digitisation and internationalisation. Jara Cisneros, Head of Digital & CRM, and Elías Zamora, Chief Data Officer, explained how the club with its AiFans tool, intelligently manages relationships with fans and supporters, optimising user experiences. In addition, Patricia Andreu, International Product Manager, explained how all this progress has led to growth in both strategic actions and in followers across the world - with the club being the fourth most Spanish club.
