A deserved victory, but one which leaves Sevilla FC with a slightly bitter taste after the first leg in the quest for a spot in the Champions League quarter finals. Sevilla played a perfect game, enjoying over 70% of the possession and 17 shots, 7 on target, putting 25 crosses into the area and even missing a penalty. They did everything to win comfortably and put the tie to bed, but with everything pointing towards a successful night, Jamie Vardy put away one of the few Leicester chances in the 73rd minute (the visitors only had two shots on goal) and dampened Sevilla's spirit. Having been looking at a tie heading very much in the right direction, at the final whistle it remained very much open for the return leg.
