Lucien Agoumé reflected on the mistakes both collectively and individually following a defeat against Villarreal: "It's not the performance we wanted to give in the final game of the season. We have been very bad and we now need to reflect and everyone needs to improve and come back next year with different aims and the hunger to fight for important things. The most important thing is what the team does. The final stretch was not what we were hoping for and I think personally I can improve a lot. I have failed in many things and it is true that I have felt better in these final few games but I have to work to get the club back to where it deserves and not fighting against relegation."
Suso said that "We started badly, then we were a bit better but in general it wasn't a good game. They have qualified for the Champions League and you saw the difference between the two teams. The performance in the final game of the season was not good. I have been very happy here and I am grateful to have been part of this club. The fans have been there in highs and lows, always loyal."
To close, Ramón Martínez spoke after scoring his first goal for the club: "We started very poorly against a quality team like Villarreal. Then in the second half we came back into it and we nearly made it 3-2 but against this team they punish every mistake. We improved from the first half but it wasn't enough. I have always been a centre-back, but I also like the fullback role and I think I can adapt well. The first thing I thought about when I received the pass from Agoumé was to get a shot away. I dedicate the goal to my grandad, who from up above gives me strength."
