26 POTENTIAL OPPONENTS FOR EUROPA LEAGUE PLAYOFF

Having safely passed through our Q2 qualifying tie with Újpest FC last night in Budapest, and with the UEFA wasting no time in setting the path for qualification, we now already know the 26 possible opponents that could be faced in a qualification playoff (should Sevilla overcome a Q3 tie with Zalgiris) for he Europa League.

With UEFA seeding the draw, Sevilla would avoid 12 seeded winners who rank highest in UEFA's coefficient rankings. Such teams include Zenit, Basel, Besiktas, Olympiacos and Feyenoord. Non-seeded sides that the Nervionenses could come up against include: Red Bull Leipzig, Atalanta, Burnley and Hibernian - all of whom have had fewer chances to accumulate points in the coefficient tables.
