ESCUDERO: “AN EXEMPLARY PLAYER WHO HAS ALWAYS GIVEN US EVERYTHING”

Practically the whole Sevilla squad was present for what was possibly Nico Pareja's most difficult day as a Sevillista - his goodbye. Sergio Escudero was the player who, representing the squad, would take the floor after the Chairman had heaped praise on Pareja. He said goodbye to a man he described as "an exemplary player".  

"It's a difficult day. Sad for us because we lose our Captain. Someone we've experienced very difficult moments with and other very beautiful moments with - moments that have to stay with you. He's an exemplary player, who has always gone out onto the field and given everything. We'll miss those mornings where he's arrived complaining that his daughters haven't let him sleep... We wish you all the best in your new adventure and hope that, wherever you are, you'll be one more Sevillista".
