Fernando Reges was the guest for A Balón Parado on Sevilla FC Television on Tuesday. As our return to compete in the UEFA Europa League gets ever closer, looking at the past becomes inevitable: "It's a very difficult competition but we have an experienced squad who will try to raise their game once again. I have always said that I want to win something great with Sevilla and we still have time. This competition is all that is left for us this season and we can win it. I also have another year left on my contract and we know it might not be easy to continue for another year, but the option is there. I think that we are still struggling in certain areas, but we are creating an identity and to be able to win titles you have to know how you want to play and you cannot ever lose this identity. I hope that in a few months time, this identity will be even stronger."
It has been a few difficult months, but he is only thinking about the present: "I always look at things positively. I learnt that we can't complain about how things are going, this is life and I can't complain. I am at a big club, I have a wonderful family and I am healthy now, I can enjoy football and whatever has happened is in the past. We have got to keep on looking forward and focus on winning matches."
Furthermore, he doesn't hide that he feels the love from the fans, as he did last Saturday when he was subbed off against Mallorca: I was a bit emotional when I came off. I was not expecting the reaction from the fans and I started hearing them chant my name. I know that the fans love me and they treat me very well, but hearing them is more emotional. The first thing I did in the post-match interview was thank them."
