The Belgian can play on both flanks, but normally features on the right wing, as to cut in on his stronger left foot.

Born in Brussels, Januzaj began his career in the academy at hometown club RSC Anderlecht, but was quickly snapped up by Manchester United in 2011, when he was just 16 years old.
His official debut came in the 2013 Community Shield win against Wigan Athletic, before bursting onto the scene just under two months later with a brace away at Sunderland on his first Premier League start to secure a comeback 2-1 win.
He would finish that season with four goals in 35 matches in all competitions, including two matches in the UEFA Champions League. He went on to make a further 28 appearances for the Mancunians across two seasons, adding one more goal.
In the first half of the 2015/16 season, he joined Borussia Dortmund on a season long-loan. However, he was recalled to Manchester midway through the season after twelve outings for the German side.
The following season, he was loaned to Sunderland, where he was reunited with David Moyes, the manager who gave him his official debut for Manchester United. He scored one goal and set up a further three in 27 appearances for The Black Cats, who were relegated at the end of the campaign.
The winger scored 23 and set up 21 in 168 matches for La Real
Januzaj then made his move to Spain, signing for Real Sociedad on a five-year deal where had the most fruitful spell of his career. He bagged 23 goals and assisted 21 in 168 appearances in all competitions for the Basque side, including appearances in the UEFA Europa League and the Spanish Super Cup.
In terms of goal contributions, his best campaign came in 2019/20, with eight goals and four assists in 29 appearances as La Real won the Copa del Rey to end a 34-year trophy drought. He was an unused substitute to the final, which was played in April 2021 due to the pandemic.
On the international stage, Januzaj decided to represent Belgium, as he was eligible for a range of countries, including Albania and Turkey. He has made fifteen appearances for his country, and played at the World Cup in 2014 and 2018, scoring his only international goal in the latter in a 1-0 win against England.
