Sevilla FC and Grupo Proin have reached an agreement through which the Seville-based company will become the official fertiliser provider for the next three seasons. Both organisations have spent more than a year working together on the maintenance and fertilisation of the Sevilla pitches, with environmental sustainability at the heart of everything.
The company has its headquarters only a couple of kilometres from the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios training ground and the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium, which will reduce the carbon footprint, as well as working on water usages and using natural products to control infestations and diseases. All of this will be done to international ecological standards - OMRI, CDFA and EU rules.
Innovative technology will be used to detect diseases, as well as for efficient nutrition for the natural grass, always keeping in mind the environment as a key factor. With this agreement, Sevilla FC reinforces its environmental commitment with natural practices. It continues to be at the cutting edge of environmental sustainability and committing to reducing its CO2 footprint, with efficient water usage thanks to the recycling of irrigation and rainwater, as well as the management of waste from maintaining the pitches.
