After making his first appearance for the club on Saturday evening's Antonio Puerta Trophy fixture against Cádiz CF, Alex Telles was unveiled as a Sevillista this afternoon.
The Brazilian began by focusing on how happy he is to be here.
"I'm very happy to be at this great club. Since the very first moment, when they told me I could come here, I didn't think twice. I'm ready for such an important week with LaLiga starting."
Telles was then asked about his strengths, and competing for a place with Acuña.
"I can help in a lot ways. I'm good going forward and I'm improving defensively every day. I know what quality I've got and what I can do to help, such as set pieces and the final ball."
"I think there's a lot of passion in football here and I've already spoken to the coach, he knows me. All I can do is train and be ready to start."
"We're here to help, and then the coach decides. We're all very ambitious and we have to be ready to give our best on the pitch. When it comes to competition for places, it's the club who wins."
"Martial said good things to me about the club and the city, so I was even more sure. Tecatito and Óliver said the same. I was very happy with it all."

The left-back believes his positivity can help his performances.
"In life we go step by step. I'm here now and I'll think about this important year for everyone. I don't think about the future, it depends on now and I want to do things well and give my all."

Telles then commented on his compatriots' performance here and following in their footsteps.
"I have a lot of players who are an example to follow, but the main ones are the Brazilians who came here. I saw photos of Luis Fabiano, Dani Alves, Renato... I want to be there too and they're the ones who I look to in order to follow the same path."

To finish, the Brazilian spoke about his impression of the club before the move was a possibility.
"Before I knew that I could come here I knew that Sevilla were a good team who are difficult to play against, as well all the trophies they've won. I've always been told very good things about the club and the city and that all made me want to come to the club as soon as I heard that was an option."
