Sevilla FC and AliExpress, the online global marketplace from the Alibaba Group, have come to an agreement for the rest of the 2020/21 season in which AliExpress has become the Club's official e-commerce and marketplace partner.

The partnership agreement will see AliExpress' logo displayed on the back of Sevilla FC's first team shirts. This will come into place with the team's next match, this Sunday 4 April against Atlético Madrid at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. As part of the agreement, AliExpress will also have presence on home matchdays at the Sánchez-Pizjuán and at the Club's training ground. The brand will also have publicity on the Club's channels of communication, such as the website and mobile application. In order to reach a larger fanbase, Sevilla FC will also open a store on AliExpress in the coming weeks.

AliExpress' logo will be displayed on the shirt from this Sunday

'Spain is a key market for AliExpress and we are always looking for ways to connect with as many clients as possible. We know that football is one of Spain's huge passions and Sevilla FC's fans are especially passionate for their club's colours. We are delighted to partner up with this successful club and to be with them on the pitch for the remainder of this exciting season as millions of people in Seville, Spain, and the rest of the world watch on in one of the biggest competitions in the world,' said William Wang, AliExpress' General Director in Spain. 'This partnership is a clear sign of our commitment to grow AliExpress' presence in the world. Joining up with Sevilla FC is a great way to celebrate our eleventh anniversary which we celebrated this week. It will help increase awareness of our brand not just in Spain but in the rest of the world,' Wang continued.

Sevilla FC President José Castro commented 'as a result of the global pandemic we have suffered in the last year, online shopping has become key to maintain access to products and services in these challenging times. E-commerce has exploded in this period, especially so in Spain. We are delighted to welcome AliExpress as Sevilla FC's global partner, becoming our e-commerce and marketplace partner. AliExpress reflects the growth and internalisation that our Club represents. Our desire to become a global club is unequivocal and AliExpress is a great role model for us. This deal puts us in a privileged position to work with a global brand and help their growth. With this deal, we have gained a key strategic partner in the Asian and global market which will allow us to further our plan of international expansion.'

Currently, AliExpress is present in over 200 countries and regions. Clients can purchase products directly from producers and distributors principally in China, as well as local businessmen and women in European markets, including Spain. Businesses of all sizes can reach a large client base and they can make use of the marketing tools to reach new clients, contributing to the digitalisation and development of the business.
