ACUÑA STARTS IN ARGENTINA'S WIN OVER POLAND

Argentina turned their fortunes around at the FIFA World Cup and have reached the last 16 thanks to a 2-0 win over Poland, with second-half goals from Mac Allister and Julián Álvarez.

Marcos Acuña started the clash at left back, and went close to opening the scoring from distance in the first half. On the hour mark, he made way for Nicolás Tagliafico. Gonzalo Montiel and Papu Gómez were on the bench but were not called upon. 

The South American side have progressed as group winners and will face Australia at 20:00 CET on Saturday. The next Sevillistas in action will be Bono and En-Nesyri, as Morocco look to progress in their fixture against Canada.
