Éver Banega - one of the standout voices in Sevilla FC's changing room - spoke to Sevilla FC's media to give his thoughts on the squad and the upcoming final with FC Barcelona: "This team is mentally prepared for this game. It's clear that we don't come into the game as we'd want to but anything can happen in a game and we're going to try and make it happen. I hope we can get our hands on this title, when winning the Copa gets you in Europe. We have two days to get ready".
For the midfielder, training in Marbella: "does good to relax the team - to make us feel like a group. At the end it brings you together as a united team. We hope we come into the final in a good place".
"Training in Marbella helps the unity of the team"

The Argentine was clear that Sevilla won't fall at the final hurdle on account of mentality: "you always play for this. To get to finals and to have these moments. We want to play the final and we're going to go for it... If we're intense on all fronts and focused at every minute, we can definitely do it... It's 90 minutes of work, we have to see where we can play, where they might slip up... You always have to go in with respect, with humility, but I think the team is ready to have a great match".
On a personal level, he seemed very satisfied: "To tell you the truth, coming back to Sevilla again - starting from zero with new teammates I didn't know - to get to another final with them is really unique. Let's hope we come together because when we played against them last time in the final we were very close".
"If before the year they'd have given me the choice between a La Liga table finish or a final I would have picked the final"
To finish up, Banega also wanted to give an evaluation of Sevilla in their present campaign - despite the league situation: "We've had a lot of ups and downs this season. We haven't been consistent in La Liga but we've also been in three huge competitions and gone right to the end... If before the year they'd have given me the choice between a La Liga table finish or a final I would have picked the final".
