BANEGA'S SUPERB GOAL JUST WASN'T ENOUGH AGAINST NIGERIA (2-4)

The trip to Russia hasn't ended well for Jorge Sampaoli's Argentinian side, who suffered a defeat in Krasnodar this Wednesday against Nigeria. Things were off to a flying start for the Argentinian selection, in particular for the only Sevillista representative - Éver Banega. The midfielder was first to score in the 28^th minute with Aguero following close behind with his goal, doubling the score. 

However, the Nigerians closed the gap just moments before half-time with a goal from Iheanacho and the side managed to turn the match around thanks to two goals from Iwobi and another from Idowu. It has been a tough year for Argentina, although the most testing struggle has been their rightfully earnt qualification for the upcoming 2018 World Cup.
