Ben Yedder was the first to comment on the victory against Standard Liège. Speaking on the pitch, the French striker appeared very satisfied: 'It is very important to win after those last two defeats. We needed to win to start well in the group phase in a competition that we all love. Today we gave much more. We all have to raise our level and when we are all together and playing well, the confidence is high.'
The forward was happy with his performance and has no problems with the fact that today was not his turn to take the penalty: 'I'll say it again, when I play I give everything and then anything can happen, you can win or lose, but you have to leave everything out on the pitch. I am happy for myself and for Banega for the goals. Sometimes it'll be his turn and other times it'll be mine.
