Wissam Ben Yedder ended his season on a high by scoring the goal in his side's victory over Deportivo Alavés: "We created chances to score two or three goals, but at the end it was tough. Bagging the three points was a great way to end the season. It was important to finish well and tonight we've shown that's what we came out here to do. Now we're going to celebrate with our families and I want to dedicate my goal to my parents".
With regards to World Cup selection, he was happy to be named in Deschamps' list B: "I'm really happy for Nzonzi. Everyone wants to make it, myself included, but it is how it is. I respect the decision made. There is a small chance I could be in the squad, but I will keep working and we'll see".
To sum things up, the Frenchman gave his thoughts on the somewhat complicated season: "I think it's been a good season, the Champions League quarter-finals, difficult matches and changes to the coach. In life everything is tough but we have to keep moving forward".
