BERIZZO: "ON THE BALANCE OF PLAY WE DIDN'T DESERVE TO LOSE"

Eduardo Berizzo evaluated his side's loss to Athletic Bilbao: "In the first-half we had chances to score and push forwards and we conceded a goal from a throw-in that we shouldn't have conceded. In the second half our play was much more disjointed but it was in the first where we missed chances to gain momentum, though on the balance of play I don't think we deserved to lose"..

"The new full-backs played at a good level today and have substituted Escudero and Mercado well. I think we created chances but just failed to take them. The loss today affects us, the way the match went in the first-half will make us feel we deserved something else".

Berizzo looked to turn the page when thinking about upcoming games: "Now we need to regroup and think about what's coming up this week. N'Zonzi has an heel sprain and Kjaer has a knock to his ankle which we'll need to look at".
