Eduardo Berizzo began his press conference after the win against Malaga by taking himself out of the spotlight for the team's success: "I am not the only reason that we won. Perhaps I am slightly responsible because making changes is based on professional analysis of the squad. There are many things that a coach can do wrong in victory and right in defeat. When decisions are made on a logical basis, they do not have to be linked to the result of the match. The intensity of the second half was down to fresh players... Sometimes the result depends on the play itself which is linked to the involvement of a fresh player".
The question of high temperatures had to be addressed: "Eyes usually fall on the players, but today they were at least risk. The spectators were in an oven for three hours without the training that the players have had. They have come to the stadium with passion but have had to put up with high temperatures. You don't have to be a genius to know that this match could have been played at 8.00pm or 10.00pm and in other parts of Spain at 4.00pm. The fixture time has affected play, which was not dynamic but a lot slower instead. The team did not allow the intensity to suffer, but when we think about the supporters it is totally counterproductive".
The international break has come, but sensations couldn't be better: "It seems that we arrive at the international break pushed up the table, taking steps forward. Some matches benefit us more than others, but we are always moving forward. I need some players to recover and others who haven't played as much to get in shape. In this international break I want them to get to the same level as others so that when we return we can say that we are even better. It confirms everything I already thought of my players".
