BERIZZO: "WE WON WITHOUT PLAYING WELL, WHICH IS IMPORTANT TOO"

"We waited patiently for our opporunity", said the boss

Eduardo Berizzo gave his verdict on his side's hard-fought win against Getafe CF: "In the first half we lost the ball dangerously which gave us work to do. Then in the second we worked better, both defending and going forward as well, which fortunately allowed us to pick up the three points".

The Argentine commented "our defense had to find an answer to their attacks and then we waited patiently for our opportunity. We won without playing well, which is important too".

Berizzo concluded by evaluating the performance without two pillars in the centre of midfield: "The absence of Nzonzi and Banega forced us to restructure ourselves. It wasn't an ideal match for Paulo beacuse the ball was up in the air a lot, but when we got it down he showed his quality. Pizarro took a lot of defensive work on his shoulders and he helped us an enormous amount".
