Yassine Bounou was presented as a new Sevilla FC player after signing a contract that will keep him at the club for, at least, one season. The Moroccan international expressed his gratitude: "I would like to thank the President, Monchi, and everyone at the club for the warm welcome and the confidence shown in me. I am very excited to be here and I really want to continue growing and give my all to help the team achieve its objectives and go as far as possible". In addition, Bono referred to competing with Tomas Vaclík: "Vaclík has shown he is a top goalkeeper and the competition is going to be, without doubt, good for us both".

Coming to Sevilla FC means a lot for the 'keeper coming from Girona FC: "It's a huge step in my career. I also needed a challenge to continue improving. Sevilla is a club with high demands and pressure, and this is what motivates players".

He also referred to the importance of Monchi in the transfer: "Monchi knows everyone in world football. Contact was made in the closing stages of the window and I'm here to give my best for the club". Equally, he recognised that he was going to have to adapt to a new city: "I've only been to Sevilla a couple of times to play. My teammates have told me good things about the city and how passionate it is about football".

"The goalkeepers in the first division are all good, I need to be prepared"

Returning to talk about the competition with Vaclík and the possibility of forcing his way into Lopetegui's plans, he said he feels prepared whenever he is called upon: "The goalkeepers in the first division are all good, it comes down to the fine margins and you have compete, give your all and whenever you are asked to help the team, you have to be there and ready".

Finishing off, he talked again about how great the opportunity was to play for Sevilla FC: "I believe that I needed a challenge like this. I left a club in Morocco where there was a lot of pressure. In Girona it's not the same and I needed to find myself, again, a club with this pressure that enables me to give my all".
