BONO: "THERE IS NO NEED TO SAY, THE FANS KNOW THAT WE NEED THEM ON FRIDAY"

Yassine Bono was in the hot seat this Wednesday on the Radio Marca Sevilla talk show. The goalkeeper went over the current situation both collectively and personally, beginning with the injuries that also affected him during the international break. "In the end, these things happen in football. It has been a simple season. It is before a World Cup and with very important games because we have a lot of national team games. It is not easy for a team like Sevilla with quality players and internationals." Now comes a run of two games at home that can't be hidden from. "We know that every game is important and this stretch even more because it is where aims achieved. The game on Friday is crucial, we all feel that and I don't think we have have to say it to our fans. They know how to help the team and even more so this year in which we have had a run of important wins." 

His role in the team has become more important but it is not something that worries him: "I always say that I feel an important player in the team but not a starter or a replacement. I am a hard worker that goes to the club to my job in the best way and anything else is a bonus." For him, his contract renewal is also approaching. "We all that is going on in this final part of the season I am 100% focused on what I can give the club and to give my best. On the other hand, I thank and appreciate that they want to renew me. I am happy and I share the idea that the players what to be here and achieve something bigger. In terms of this, there has never been any doubt from me. It is only the fact that there are very important games and sometimes it is not easy. It is not a negotiation problem."

.He currently leads the standings for Zamora Trophy. "I am hopeful of course but the most important thing is that we achieve it as a group. Every goalkeeper would change an individual trophy for a team one but one thing helps the other. If you try to concede less, you help the team." Goalkeepers are every more competitive: "It is not easy to compete against Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético, Villarreal, Betis... They are prepared but we have spent two years working towards an important objecttive and people automatically want more. Just as when we were in the Europa League they wanted to be in the Champions League, we want to be second or first but the competition is like that and we are in the fight. I see a mentally alert team hungry to achieve bigger things." 

Leading the group is of course the coach Julen Lopetegui: "He is crucial because we have a Sevilla that has spent three years competing at the top and his playing ideas are clear. When you have eight injuries and play with other players or players from the youth team, you see that the team plays the same way. I trust in him because it is the way to achieve our aims." Among his support is also the fans: "In all the games in our stadium this year the atmosphere has been spectacular and it has helped us to be able to win and be on the front foot in games. The fans have had an important role and it is clear they feel the spirit of Sevilla. It doesn't need to be said. The people know it and we need them. I hope that we can make them happy." Finally, he spoke about his teammate Marko Dmitrovic. "He is one of the best, if not the best that I've. You already know his talent and he is a very good goalkeeper at Sevilla and we are putting everything into helping the team."
