The Sevilla academy graduate, Borja Lasso, has left the club today, departing for CD Tenerife for the remainder of this season and the next two to come. The Nervionenses reserve the right to a buy-back clause in the case of a possible sale. The midfielder's contract with Sevilla ran until June 30.
Borja, who featured right through Sevilla's youth academy, made his debut for the first team in the Copa del Rey against Formentera in December 2016, making 35 appearances and scoring three goals in the second division with Sevilla B that season. He made his league debut on the first day of last season against RCD Espanyol before going on loan to CA Osasuna in the January transfer window. At Osasuna, he played 19 games and scored two goals.
This season, Borja picked up minutes in the Europa League match against Újpest in Nervión and in the Copa del Rey in Villanueva de la Serena. Sevilla FC wish to thank Borja Lasso's professionalism and wish him all the best in this new step in his career.
