Sevilla FC and Leicester City have reached an agreement for Boubakary Soumaré to join the club on loan.
The 24-year old French defensive midfielder joins the club on a season-long loan, with the club including an option to make the move a permanent one.
Soumaré began his career in the academy at Paris FC, before joining the academy cross-city rivals PSG. In 2017, before making his debut at PSG, he signed for LOSC Lille. He made 112 appearances across four seasons for Les Dogues, which includes his debuts in both the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. He came up with a goal and three assists during his time at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, where he also touched silverware for the first time, as LOSC were Ligue 1 champions in the 2020/21 season.
He then made the move to England in 2021, signing for Leicester City ahead of the 2021/22 campaign. He made his debut in the Community Shield against Manchester City, with Leicester winning 1-0. He featured on 59 occasions for the East Midlands side, including appearances in the Europa League and the Europa Conference League.
On an international level, Soumaré has not featured for the national team, but he has played at various youth levels for France, with a total of 45 appearances between U16 and U21 level.
