Joaquín Caparrós, Sevilla FC's director of football, was at the Cisneros Palacios gathering today, where he chatted and debate about the current state of the club. Caparrós was grateful for the new stage that he is living at Sevilla: 'I have had the great fortune of having great presidents like Roberto, José María and now José Castro, who brought me to the team and allowed me to be in the privileged position that I am in.'

'I am also grateful to that group of Monchi, Ramón Vázquez, Paco Leal...together we formed a clan, a family. When we finished at the Ciudad Deportiva we would go to the club to listen to any problems and get involved in everything that the club stood for, and we would pass that onto the footballers,' said Joaquín Caparrós about what it means to be involved with Sevilla FC.

Speaking of more recent times, the Utrera native emphasised the image of yesterday's encounter against Real Madrid: 'When you look at the pitch from yesterday and see our homegrown players like Sergio Ramos and Jesús Navas it takes me aback a little because they're our own youngsters with lots of talent, just like Antonio Puerta who was certainly destined for great things.'

'There is no doubt that the roads of Utrera produce footballers and world champions,' affirmed Caparrós proudly at the end of the discussion.
