Carlos Fernández has become the latest Sevilla FC player to join the First Team's training squad, having passed his medical tests early this morning. This afternoon, the academy youngster will train for the first time under the orders of Julen Lopetegui and alongside his teammates at the Jose Ramón Cisneros Palacios training village.
The striker had enjoyed a few more days of holiday than the rest of the squad, having finished his season late in June after a Segunda Division play off with Deportivo de la Coruña. Fernández played on loan at Coruña last season, scoring ten goals and providing three assists in 29 appearances.
