It was a big day for Carlos Fernández, as he revealed in an interview with club media after signing his contract extension. The forward was delighted: "The joy I'm feeling right now is difficult to explain and get across. Above all I want to start by thanking the whole club in general for the care and confidence they've put in me until 2021. To thank everyone from the president to the last employee, because this year has been difficult for me after the injury. As early as November the club got in touch with my agent to start the negotiation and I've really felt supported and loved, and I'm very happy to be able to keep expanding my dream of being a Sevillista and being able to defend this shirt until 2021".

I remember an interview I gave on the day of the goal against Las Palmas where I said it was the happiest day of my life and my sporting career...
