"They scored one goal and we lacked the aggression needed to score"

Daniel Carriço spoke to the cameras after the defeat against Real Madrid on Sunday. The Portuguese international commented that: "at the end of the day it's the smallest of margins that, against a team like Madrid, make the difference. We weren't able to put pressure on them and they were able to win the game".

Being self-critical with respect to the team, Carriço also evaluated the lack of forcefulness in some parts of their game: "We weren't patient enough. Although the team's effort cannot be brought into question, we have to be more ruthless".

Finishing off, Carriço was asked about the week leading up to the game and the consequences of previous results: "When you come into a game hurt, you usually concentrate more. They scored one goal and we lacked aggression".
