José Castro spoke to the media after the victory in the Gran Derbi on Sunday night in Heliópolis: "They're three very important points that allow us to keep on track for our objective. They're important for the fans also. However, we have an objective and that is to continue improving and with these three points, we're so happy. It took a lot out of us to get the win because there's always going to be nerves, but the team knew that they had to win with fight, courage and passion".
JOSÉ CASTRO: "THE TEAM UNDERSTOOD THAT THEY WERE GOING TO NEED FIGHT, COURAGE AND PASSION"
It was also a night for remembering some fond friends: "I remember a lot of people on days like this. Roberto Alés who was always the first one on the phone to me. Also, Reyes who knew what it meant to play in a derby better than anyone else".
Moreover, the President wasn't losing focus for this season's objective: "We know that we have to continue on winning. We have a clear focus and we can't allow ourselves to lose concentration for a split second. We have to win here, in Valladolid and everywhere else. There's no other way of thinking. We have made an enormous effort to get here and we have a clear vision. I will keep on saying it: at this club, failure is not allowed".
To finish off, he eulogised the fans: "The fans were top knotch. Their support was heard throughout. They enjoyed themselves, and the players appreciate it and have went back out to salute them. This is a great night".
