José Castro, President of Sevilla FC, has sent a letter to the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation today, in which he announces his irrevocable resignation as a member of the Board of Directors of the RFEF.
Castro explained that he waited a few days before taking this decision, to see whether the President of the RFEF would publicly apologise for allegedly having shown his desire for Sevilla to lose in some WhatsApp conversations.
In his letter, the Club President rebukes Rubiales for not only not apologising publicly, but also for the fact that he has not even phoned him to give an explanation, which is why he no longer wishes to be part of a board chaired by someone who has disrespected Sevilla as an institution and, more seriously, the Sevilla FC fans, which is something that, as Club President, he cannot tolerate under any circumstances.
