The board and the Sevilla FC First Team squad had their traditional Christmas dinner this Wednesday, which on this occasion took place without the First Team coach, with Eduardo Berizzo still recovering from his operation. The Argentinian coach was the only absence from a dinner that saw Chairman José Castro, flanked by Ernesto Marcucci and Óscar Arias say words on Berizzo and the players. Talking specifically about the side's last few matches, they made it known that even if the side was getting results that keep the team alive on all fronts "we want more. We are the team of 'casta y coraje' (class and courage), we have to continue on a growing trajectory to achieve the aims we've set".
Castro went on: "There are players who are new this season and our captains should breathe that enthusiasm and courage that we've had in some matches into them... What happened to us at the Bernabéu and in Moscow can't happen. There aer some things in football which are nearly impossible to forget. We're going to carry on fighting to achieve our goals. We have total faith in you".
The squad enjoyed a wonderful evening that went well into the night - loosening themselves up to give everything they have in their last two matches of the year, this Friday against Levante UD and Wednesday against Real Sociedad.
