COKE ON GEIS: "HE CONTRIBUTES A LOT TO THE TEAM TACTICALLY"

Coke Andújar, speaking to SFC Radio, has praised Sevilla FC's latest 17/18 signing, Johannes Geis, who he played with in his latest campaign with Schalke 04. The former Sevillista said he was a: "complete footballer, very competitive and very good on the ball".

He added "what stands out above all else is his movement - both on the ball and off... If he is on the pitch, the team gains a lot tactically. Defensively he is strong, he makes strong challenges without any problem and then he's fluid in moving the ball around".

Coke also branded him "a very competitive footballer, very disciplined", adding "he can play in front of the defense and also a bit further forward. He's got a good shot from outside the area... he does need a period of acclimatisation to make himself comfortable"

What Coke is sure of is that Geis has the ability to be an important part of Eduardo Berizzo's group: "I've seen last year with Rakitic that having a good launcher of attacks who can also hold on to the ball and make movements into good areas is very important. It can win you a lot of points... and Geis is that type of footballer who shoots hard and shoots well".
