"We can leave with our heads held high"

Sevilla FC's centre-back, Diego Carlos, spoke to the media after yesterday's match in the capital, where he started off by referring to De Jong's disallowed goal: "It's hard to speak about it because I was ahead of it and I'm not sure what happened. The boys said it wasn't a foul. I'm happy with the game but not with the result. We wanted to come out of here with a result, but we can leave with our heads held high".

"It was something which we worked on a lot and they scored from it. We have to continue to work hard and improve on these details for the next game", explained the Brazilian - talking about Madrid's second goal.

He finished off by saying that "it's a tough loss because after they scored their second, we tried to keep on the front foot and En-Nesyri had a good chance near the end. For me, there's no easy games and you always have to be at your best to pick up points".
