Round numbers, even if not in the best possible circumstance were achieved last Sunday night by Diego Carlos, after little more than two seasons as a Sevilla FC player, he completed 100 official games as a player for the club at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes. First appearing in the 2019/20 season after arriving from Nantes in Ligue, the Brazilian came to Nervión without much fanfare, but it didn't take long for him to become an established player in the centre of defence for Julen Lopetegui. In his debut season he finished with 45 games - 35 in LaLiga, two in the Copa del Rey and ten in the UEFA Europa League. He scored three goals and played an active role in winning goal in the 3-2 Europe League final in Cologne against Inter in which he won his first title in white and red.
In the next campaign he even increased his number playing in 46 games, 33 in LaLiga, four in the Copa del Rey, eight in the Champions League and one in the Spanish Super Cup. adding one goal to his account. So far this season he has played in everything, both in every game and every minute. He has made seven league appearance and two in the Champions League which gives a total of 100 games. He will not be in Vigo due to a suspension but the central defender and Olympic champion with Brazil still has many seasons ahead of him to continue adding to his appearances.
