Éver Banega has reached an important milestone in Sevilla FC's colours in what is his fourth season at the club. Last Sunday's win against RCD Espanyol on matchday 27 in La Liga brought his win tally at Sevilla to 100 with a total of 189 games played. That win also served to end Sevilla's bad run away from the Sánchez-Pizjuán in the league.

With the 1-0 win in Barcelona, Banega picked up his 24th victory this season - 12 in La Liga, 3 in the Copa del Rey and 9 in the UEFA Europa League, with 10 league matches still to play. These wins, added to the 21 from last season, total 45 wins in the Argentine's second spell in Nervión. Before leaving for Inter Milan in the 2016/17 season, the Argentine picked up 55 wins which make up the figure of 100. The Argentine had 33 wins in the 2014/15 season, with 21 in La Liga alone, and 22 victories in 15/16.

In his time at Sevilla, Banega has scored 25 goals, having notched eight this season. The midfielder has a total of 57 assists, 15 from this season, equalling his tally from last season.

Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that the Argentine still leads the league in ball recoveries in La Liga with 236, well ahead of the second-placed Pique with 214.
