The Sevilla FC midfield are in luck. Fernando Reges, the Octopus of Nervión, has signed a contract renewal with the club until the summer of 2024, extending his time at Sevilla for another two seasons. The Brazilian midfielder, who joined the club in the summer of 2019 and has since become a pillar of Julen Lopetegui's squad, will stay at the club for five years thanks to this contract extension.
A crucial component of the squad, whether it's in his natural role as a defensive midfielder or as a centre half, Fernando has made 110 appearances for the club: 83 in LaLiga, 13 in the UEFA Champions League, seven in the UEFA Europa League, including the win against Inter in the final in Cologne, six in the Copa del Rey and one in the UEFA Super Cup. The man from Brasilia has scored seven goals and set up a further nine so far.
