After the defeat on Sunday at the hands of Atlético Madrid, Sevilla FC returned to training on Monday at the club's Ciudad Deportiva complex.
There were a number of absentees from the session, with players missing through international duty and injuries.
Five first team members have joined their respective national squads, as Sergio Rico and Vitolo both joined up with the Spain squad for a friendly with France and a World Cup qualifier against Israel, while Mercado prepared with the Argentina side for World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Bolivia.
Stevan Jovetic joined up with Montenegro for their World Cup qualifier against Poland and Adil Rami travelled to Clairefontaine to train with the France squad ahead of their friendly against Spain and World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg.
Meanwhile, Ganso is undergoing tests and it is hoped that he will train with the group on Wednesday - the same day that it is expected that David Soria and Luciano Vietto will return to training. The latter's recent absence has been due to a dental issue which kept him out of the game at the Calderón.
