After the handing over of the golden badges from Sevilla FC on Saturday at the 14th Encuentro de Peñas in Torrox, José Castro addressed those who were in attendance: "Speaking on behalf of the club, we can only promise hard work. We're not only working for the Sevilla of the present, but as well for the Sevilla of the future. We have a plan, and we're working towards it. Speaking of which, the plan for the next five years is to continue growing and to continue getting better. We have 350 employees who aren't connected to the sporting side and we will get to 500. We have a budget of 200 million euros and we will get to 400, 500, or whatever we can. The groundwork is set. Nobody can stop us because we have the foundations is place, we have the fans and everything we need to be successful".

He continued speaking: "We will continue to work on our infrastructure. Beforehand, the infrastructure of the club wasn't what we wanted and it wouldn't have been able to have been resolved. This isn't a criticism of my predecessors because all the focus was on having a first class team, which makes sense seeing as we are a Public limited sports company. We know that our stadium has been too small for us and in the next five years we will have a third tier - something on which at the moment we are working. We can't promise that something of this magnitude will happen now or within the next year; but within the next five years it will be feasible".

"We want the Sevillistas to be more and more proud of Sevilla FC"

Finally, he spoke about his intention for the club: "I will reiterate that we will continue to frow because we don't have any other intention other than for Sevilla to get bigger and bigger. Moreover, we want the Sevillistas to be more and more proud of Sevilla FC".
