Xavi García Pimienta spoke after the defeat against Real Sociedad: "I feel bad for the fans who have had to watch today. We tried and wanted to win but we couldn't. We had a great opponent in front of us and we have to appreciate that. They are a very good team, with quality and a clear playing style. If you don't play well, they can hurt you. We ran, perhaps badly at times, but quite a lot. Unfortunately, Real Sociedad were better in many moments. We had clear chances to score a goal and to change the momentum but after the penalty we tried, although we were more disorganised than we would have liked."
As for Idumbo's injury, he acknowledged that "we have to wait. It seems to be the groin or the adductor. He has noticed something strange but we have to do some tests. He's in pain, but we won't know what the injury is until the relevant tests are done tomorrow." On injuries: "It's unfortunate what's happening to us in terms of injuries, but the players have worked well and fought hard. We're not going to make excuses or say that we've lost because we're missing players. Those who came on were capable, but we weren't organised. They controlled the game very well and we're looking forward to getting everyone back."
Moving onto next Saturday's game at Butarque: "Today's game is still fresh and we're annoyed. Not being at your level makes you worse. Now we have to rest well, prepare for Leganés because Saturday is a very difficult game. We have to get our players back."
