Maxime Gonalons has got through the worst part of his injury. After a month and a half of inactivity, after his operation in Lyon on his left leg's fractured malleolus, the French midfielder is now working on coming back in the training village.
GONALONS IS WORKING TOWARDS COMING BACK: 'I'M ALREADY THINKING ABOUT MY RETURN'
Despite the group's day off this Tuesday, Gonalons carried out physio and gym work alone, before attending Sevilla FC's Official Media: 'I'm better, now I'm off crutches I can start recovery work with the physio and after three weeks I think I'll be out on the pitch.'
'We have a fantastic group. I need to play to help my teammates'
It hasn't been easy, the midfielder admits, especially as he has barely been able to get into a rhythm since his arrival, given his two injuries during the first half of the season. 'It's been really difficult, but it's over now and I'm really happy and thinking about my return.'
Gonalons is looking with optimism to the future, especially due to the great form the team is enjoying this season: 'I'm really excited because the team is playing well and we have a fantastic group. I need to play to help my teammates.'
