Sevilla FC Medical Services can confirm that Marcao will undergo an operation in Madrid on Friday after suffering a recurrence of his right hamstring injury. The defender picked up the injury last month against Manchester City, and will be out for no less than 12 weeks.
As for Thomas Delaney, he suffered a grade 2 sprain to his right knee in Denmark's match against Tunisia. The player started his recovery in Sevilla ten days ago and is expected to be out for eight weeks.
Lamela and Suso, doubtful for the Copa del Rey clash
Both Erik Lamela and Suso have been training away from the squad due to the knocks, meaning they are doubts for the first competitive fixture since the World Cup, against Juventud de Torremolinos in the Copa del Rey.
