The opponent has been confirmed for our sixth UEL final. Sevilla FC will face Inter for the first time in an official match at Stadion Köln. They have played just once in recent years in pre-season, a goalless draw in the 2008 Amsterdam Tournament. Antonio Conte's men reached the final with a 5-0 thumping of Shakhtar Donetsk in Düsseldorfwith braces from the Argentine Lautaro and the Belgian Lukakuwith D'Ambrosio. After failing to reach the UCL Round of 16, they progressed to the UEL semi finals with wins against Bulgarian side LudogoretsGetafe and Bayer Leverkusen

With 29 appearances and 244 points, Inter are top of the all-time UEFA Europa League table, with two points for a win and one for a draw. Sevilla are third in that table with 221 points after overtaking Club Brugge this season, with Sporting Club de Portugal in second place (228). The Italians won this trophy three times in the 1990s, beating Roma in 1991, Borussia Dortmund in 1994, and Lazio in 1998. They also reached the final in 1997, but were beaten by Schalke 04.  

They also have three European Cups, won in 1964, 1965 and 2010, two Intercontinental Cups (1964 and 1965), and a Club World Cup in 2010. In Serie A, they finished as runners-up this season, after being stuck in a three-way fight for the Scudetto with Juventus and Lazio. They have won 18 Serie A titleswith the most recent title arriving in 2010. The Nerazzurri have also won seven cups and five super cups.
